United Miss Chance To Go Fourth

First Team miss out, Reserve and Under 18 sides finish their league seasons

A 2-0 home defeat to the divisions form side Loxwood saw Eastbourne United AFC miss out on the chance to move up to fourth place in the league.
With Littlehampton Town not having a fixture scheduled for this weekend, United could have moved 2 points ahead of the West Sussex side with the end of the season fast approaching, but goals at the end of either half scuppered United’s chance.

A full match report is available on the first team page.

The first team travel to relegation threatened Midhurst & Easebourne on Saturday (3pm) before The Oval plays host to their final match of the season on Easter Monday morning, when already promoted Hailsham Town are the visitors (11am)

The reserve team can now finish no lower than 4th in the Reserve Premier Division after a 2-1 midweek victory over Rye United completed their league fixtures.
Dale Hendy’s side will be back in action at The Oval on Saturday (3pm) as they meet local rivals Hailsham Town for the right to face Eastbourne Town Reserves in the final of the Eastbourne Challenge Cup.

The Under 18 side have now completed their first season under Ian Stevens by finishing in 4th position in the County Youth League East Section.
With many of the Under 18 side making appearances for the first and reserve team, the future looks bright at The Oval.
