Eastbourne United AFC can confirm the signing of Goalkeeper Jordan Hawkins and prolific goalscorer Sam Schaaf
Keeper Jordan Hawkins was a member of the Whitehawk F.C's triple winning U18 team in 2017, joining their first team squad in 2017-18. After coming as a second half substitute for the injured Seny Dieng in the Sussex Senior Cup, he made his league debut for the first team in the National League South game at home to Hemel Hempstead Town the following Saturday, in December 2017.
Hawkins dual signs with United after spending 2017-18 at Saltdean United.
Forward Sam Schaaf is very well known around the country league as one of the most prolific strikers around. Schaaf has spent the last 3 seasons with fellow SCFL Premier Division side Horsham YMCA and was previously with East Grinstead Town of The Bostik League South East Division. Schaaf has averaged 20 goals a season for the last 3 years in the SCFL and will be a big addition to the current squad.
From First Team Manager Arron Hopkison: 'These are two players of the calibre we are looking to bring to this club, signing one of the most prolific strikers in the league shows a statement of intent of where we want this club to be. Jordan is a cracking young goalkeeper and has featured in the National League South for Whitehawk. Whilst young, he will be a major asset between the posts for us and will play an integral part in the rest of this league campaign.'
Eastbourne United AFC would like to welcome them both to the club and they will be available for selection this Friday.
