Yes, it’s true. On Wednesday at Sussex FA Lancing, our long wait will finally be over, as we walk out for our first cup final since 2009, when we won the RUR cup. It is fitting then that once again it’s the RUR cup that has drawn us back to Lancing. Last time it was part of a league and cup double, the system has changed since then, but we are very much in with a chance of a league and promotion double once again.
Those of us around will remember that we could not accept promotion last time as the ground was not up to standard, a situation that is now, finally, resolved, with one of the finest facilities in the county at step 5, and certainly more than able to grace step 4.
Come along to Culver Way on Wednesday and scream your lungs out - the boys will need all the support they can get against a very good Crowborough Athletic team. Let’s bring home a nice shiny cup to sit in the nice shiny clubhouse that we are so fortunate to have.
