Second draw v Heath

It was a case of deja vu again as United and Haywards Heath played out a 1-1 draw at Banbury Park on Saturday. Back in August the two sides could not be separated at the Oval in warm sunny conditions, Yesterday was played out on a bog of a pitch, which the groundsmen did really well to prepare.
United were without the absentGary Ingram and injured Sam Cole, but welcomed back Hayden Beaconsfield and Max Thompson to cover. The first half was a torrent on United chances, but once again we could not quite convert. Unlike in the August game, heath did finally break through the United defence and were 1-0 up at half time. The second half was more of the same, the Home keeper making some fine saves, in particular to a Mason Creese free kick ,an absolute screamer tipped onto the join of post and crossbar. Not to be outdone, Broadbent in the Un tied goal pulled off a world of his own.
United continued to pressure and with just 8 minutes to go, Mason Creese blasted home from close range to make it 1-1.
Points shared once again, and on Tuesday we are back at Danbury Park for our RUR Cup quarter final, hopefully in slightly drier weather!
