Why not come along to the Club on Wednesday 29th September between 5p.m. and 8 p.m. to have your photo taken with some of the oldest football trophies in world football including the Carabao Cup, Papa John’s Trophy and EFL League One Trophy. The opportunity comes following the success of our U11’s team in winning a competition organised by estate agents, Your Move, who are the EFL’s Official Communities Supporter and who have chosen our Club, as one of only a handful across England, to benefit from the Trophy Tour.
The Your Club, Your Kit competition was part of the exciting partnership that Your Move continues to have with the EFL, with the aim being to help local Your Move teams establish even closer links with the communities in which they operate.
The competition was open to grassroots teams, of all ages and abilities, as well as school teams with the 130 winners (one in each of Your Move’s network branch areas) being picked at random. The kit was only recently presented to our local team by Ali Sabri, Branch Manager for Your Move in Eastbourne, who commented:
“We’re delighted to bring these opportunities to Eastbourne United FC. We know that football, like all sports, has been affected by the pandemic and hope that the combination of a new kit for the Under 11’s team, as well as the chance for anyone associated with the team to see the EFL trophies, will bring great excitement locally. I know our local team are really pleased to be associated with the Club and hope this will be one of many ways we can celebrate with them.”
