Following splendid wins against Midhurst & Easebourne and AFC Uckfield Town, United find themselves into the playoff places. This Saturday we travel to promotion candidates Newhaven, over at Fort Road - The Dockers are currently top of the table and looking to grab the direct promotion place. This season the teams in second to fourth places play off against each other in a knockout format - 2nd v 5th and 3rd v 4th. The two winners play each other for a place in the Isthmian League. We are currently in 5th and have to play 3 of the teams above us, so it’s in our own hands now!
Were we to get promoted, it would be the first time at step 4 since 1982, plus of course this season we have reached the last 8 of the Sussex Senior Cup, last 8 of the RUR, and great runs in the FA Cup and Vase. Let’s hope this good run continues through 2024!
