United welcomed back Jason Taylor to the starting XI in the place of Jonno Melia, while Dave Smart and Ben Dartnall replaced Ben Putland and Ashley Jarvis.
After a fairly flat opening ten minutes, United were forced into a reshuffle as Andy Corrigan was replaced by Jarvis as the result of a heavy tackle from former United midfielder Billy Trickett.
It took 19 minutes for United to take the lead through Mann.
An inviting ball into the area by Wes Tate was met by uncertainty in the home defence to which Mann took full advantage by stoopingnin and heading home his first goal of the evening.
Mann was instrumental in the second goal too, as he rounded Ringmer 'keeper Goodchild before playing the ball to Taylor who was scythed down in the area. Up stepped Tate who sent Goodchild the wrong way for 2-0.
Half chances fell to Ringmer's Bolwell and Saunders, but neither fully tested Adam Sargent.
With five minutes of the first half remaining, Mann made it three.
A mazy run from Bailo Camara was brought to a halt just outside the area, but Dartnall was on hand to regain the ball and play in Mann who slotted the ball into the far corner.
Taylor made it four on the stroke of half time after he was unselfishly played in by Mann.
United's fifth of the evening came on 59 minutes and was something special.
A corner from Tate found it's way to Dan Pollard who unleashed an unstoppable left footed volley from the narrowest of angles across Goodchild for a early contender for goal of the season.
Mann ws twice denied his hat-trick by the feet of Goodchild before Ringmer scored their consolation goal through Jacob Shelton's looping 25 yard effort.
United substitute Charlie Osborne came perilously close to his first senior goal for United, but could only see his effort hit the crossbar and ricochet out for a goal kick.
Sargent had to be alert to make a smart double save in added time as United secured a comfortable victory
