It was always going to be a tough ask for United to leave Littlehampton with three points against the current SCFL Champions who came into the fixture off the back of a victory over Ryman Premier league side Lewes.
With 23 minutes played, it was the home side who took the lead as Mitchell Hand played in George Landais to slot past United ‘keeper James Broadbent and that’s how it would stay until the second half.
Ten minutes into the second half, Littlehampton were awarded a penalty and Landais stepped up to take the spot kick, but saw his effort saved by Broadbent.
Ten minutes later, United were awarded a penalty of their own after Jamie Bunn was brought down in the area and up stepped Stevens to score from 12 yards and draw United level.
With just under ten minutes remaining, United were awarded a second penalty of the afternoon but Stevens saw his effort saved by Jon Hendrick in the home goal. Stevens was quickest to react to the save and subsequently fired home the rebound to put United ahead.
United looked to be on course to pick up maximum points, but with two minutes of normal time remaining the home side drew level through Dan Kempson as the sides had to settle for a point each
