Mann, making his first appearance since 27th October took his tally to 84 goals for the club after a second half double salvo, with the third United goal coming from leading scorer Liam Baitup.
An end to end opening saw chances for both sides with Dan Simmonds testing United’s James Broadbent before Pagham stopper James Binfield produced a smart reaction save to deny Baitup. A spell of sustained pressure followed for United with Max Hollobone trying his luck from distance before Binfield again denied Baitup. Baitup then saw an effort fly past the upright before Mann saw a fierce effort blocked by Neil Murfin.
Two minutes into the second half, Mann opened his account for the season as his low effort fizzed past Binfield. Pagham immediately responded and could have been level a little over a minute later, but Broadbent parried behind for a corner. A rapid United counter-attack saw substitute debutant Ben Weiss race away from the home defence and unleash an effort that Binfield thwarted. Pagham drew level with 62 minutes played after a free-kick from the left ended up ricocheting around the area before falling Scott Murfin who fired past Broadbent. Murfin and Ryan Cox both brought further saves out of Broadbent before United regained the lead as Mann headed past a despairing Binfield. The final few minutes saw United in the ascendency, with Peter Cooper firing just wide of the upright before Baitup got the goal that his performance deserved as he reacted quickest to Liam Painter’s effort that bounced back off the crossbar to send United back to East Sussex with a deserved three points
